ATLAS Project

Previewing and prioritising Europe's future energy technologies.

The ATLAS Project is a major initiative aimed at establishing an information base to support energy Research and Technological Development (RTD) strategy, which has been undertaken by the European Network of Energy Agencies (EnR) on behalf of Directorate General TREN of the European Commission.

The ATLAS Project was a strategic review exercise aimed at identifying key issues and guiding priorities for the next phase of EU support programmes and other actions in the field of new energy technologies.

This study was funded under the former EU programme 'THERMIE', the non-nuclear energy technology demonstration and dissemination component of the 4th Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development.
