Energy for the Future: Renewable Sources of Energy

The European Commission's White Paper for a Community Strategy sets out a strategy to double the share of renewable energies in gross domestic energy consumption in the European Union by 2020 to 20%, including a timetable of actions to achieve this objective in the form of an Action Plan.

EU White Paper and Green Paper on RES

A GREEN PAPER has been published on 8 March 2006 on developing a common, coherent European Energy Policy. The Green Paper will help the European Union lay the foundations for secure, competitive and sustainable energy.
