Energy strategies in Argentina

The RE demand in Argentina can be divided into four different segments regarding customers´ features, which involve different standards of development:

• Institutional – national and provincial programs for rural electrification of schools, hospitals, police stations etc.·
• Industrial – private companies providing both equipment and services·
• Off-grid – independent rural users not included in any official programs·
• Grid-connected.Interest of private companies is growing.

PV and other RES are integrated into the standard rural electrification practices. It is estimated that PV will be the main source for electrification.
