Demonstration Projects
Since 1995 the PV demonstration programme established an objective: to
achieve a progressive reduction of 10-15% per year in overall project
costs. By 1998, the level of financial support had been reduced accordingly,
reflecting the greater maturity of the technology.
In addition, the proposals showed a reduction in the costs of grid connection
for the projects and a significant increase in the size of the projects.
The projects also demonstrtaed growing standardisation of systems and
a trend towards service systems.
